Abstract
This document will describe the user privacy and data protection policy of the information held in common for the TeraGrid. Individual resources and centers may have their own user privacy and data protection policies and those will supercede this global policy for information collected and managed individually by those institutions.

Security Considerations
Inability to provide the described level of protection will expose the TeraGrid to various liabilities. These need to be understood and managed.

An evaluation of process and protection methods is needed to implement this policy
